CuriosIT: IT activities for UK online centres
CuriosIT is all about fun - and activities.

These activities have been created for use by UK online centres. UK
Online Centres promote activities which provoke and support people's
curiosity about ICT - and find ways to make ICT meaningful and useful
in their lives.
Gradually, this type of activity may lead people into more traditional
learning, and more formal ICT training courses, whether within the
centre, or via signposting, to provision elsewhere.
Where centres are already operating successful activities, or have
good ideas for projects that include ICT, we would like them to suggest
these to DirectSupport and discuss how best to develop or disseminate
them. We are currently working on activities that will engage people
for 6 to 12 months and attract grant funding or sponsorship. >>more
CuriosIT provides user worksheets and guidelines, tutor or volunteer
support notes, and technical and learning guidance, so that non-accredited
trainers and volunteers can help users to have a positive, fun experience
with ICT.
Centres can benefit from being able to use other centres' ideas and
materials.
